Vinyl Matryoshka

So for this assignment we had to have 3 faces and concentrate on hair, makeup and accessories to get across a theme that was given to us. I was given "Vinyl Matryoshka." A matryoshka is one of those Russian stacking dolls.

This is C'Nedra from the same story I've been working on this semester. She is the wife of Garion and leads a giant army against the forces of evil. The prophecy calls her "The Queen of the World". She is timid but strong and wears a suit of gold armor to boost the moral of her troops.

Elderly Fat Wizard

We had a random character generator and mine read " Mysterious elderly wizard who has a huge appetite." We were asked to make this character in a different style than the other things we have been working on.

Sketches Update #3

So the first two are from a session at Dr. Sketchys. It's a cool little life drawing group that has burlesque models posing on fun stages. It's $8, but still fun . The last is a little comic a friend of mine Jimmy Malone drew after I drew in one of my teacher's sketchbooks and made him freak a little. Both guys are super cool and this comic makes me giggle/have a heart attack.

Here is another quick illustration from the .... well I've been calling it the Miracle Sketchbook. Turns out that's not the name of it...OH WELL. Check it. The sentence was, "It knows all the yellow songs that the white blackbird sings in the rain."

I've really been getting into brush pens lately. They make me make more decisive marks. They aren't always a success, but it makes me thing before working which is good for me. This model wore a toga with another sheet under it like she was pregnant. Mucho Gusto!

More Dolls. I felt like Dr. Nimbus needed to have some fun so I let him pick his own clothes. What a little scamp. Unfortunately, I saved the picture as a screen cap and forgot to get the name of the designer.

Silk Final

Here is my final for Silk. I forced myself to paint and I'm pretty happy with the results. There are probably many ways I can cut time down on the process just by practice and such, but for now it's taking forever. Yay for pushing myself!
