Nimbus Cover :)

The Cover is complete! Over the summer I am going to tweek a few files and then hopefully I should have some copies for sale for art market. If you would like one, please let me know so I can make sure I make enough copies.

Dr. Nimbus vs Professor Effulgence

Last one completed. Dr. Nimbus chases his rival Professor Effulgence.

Dr. Nimbus and Cpt. Lightheart Escape Magmanimous 5!

Solid 14 hours of work....I'm so tired. But it looks good.

Dr. Nimbus Finds a Lazer Clam

Here is my 4th Dr. Nimbus Comic! It's 3am! My eyes are bleeding! :P

Merchant of Marvels Cover

I also had to design the cover of one of the sketchbooks. We had to incorporate the number of the book we received along with the title and author.

Mother's Day Wrapping Paper

Here is the final wrapping paper design for Mother's Day. Yep...

Sketches Update #2

Here is another quick illustration from the .... well I've been calling it the Miracle Sketchbook. Turns out that's not the name of it...OH WELL. Check it. The sentence was, "It knows all the yellow songs that the white blackbird sings in the rain."

Mother's Day Wrapping Paper

This assignment is to design wrapping paper based on an event that we were assigned at random. I got mother's day. We were asked to make a mood board first to establish color and....mood. Here is my sketch!

Another Miracle Sketch

Here is another Miracle Sketch. My sentence ( or part of one at least) was "into redbreast." I said screw it and took the silly route.

Words on Wheels....Again!

So I had to re-size and change the composition a little because I got the wrong dimensions. Arg. But I got it done, and this is what it looks like in full poster form. I'll find out if I win sometime later in the semester.

Words on Wheels

This illustration is for the Words on Wheels project. All the students in my Concepts 2 class we given poems written by youngsters to illustrate. These illustrations will be on posters on city buses.

Miracle Sketchbook 2

This time my sentence was "Lies a key I obtained from a magic monkey."

T-Post Designs

Pretty interesting assignment. We had to design a t-shirt illustration for this website called T-Post Magazine. They take news stories and print the illustration on the outside and the story on the inside. I think it let me flex my graphic design muscles a little. I chose the story about the Large Hadron Collider that will continue to run to 2012 instead of stopping at 2011. Ill fix the spelling errors before class.

Hipsters In Love pt3

Lastly! The quarter page illustration. I dig it.

Hipsters In Love pt2

Here is the half page from the series.

Hipsters In Love pt1

This is my colored version of the full page. Crits are welcome!

Hipster Handbook Final Lines

Here are the final lines for those sketches for the Hipster Handbook. This is my first real attempt at inking with a brush. I've played around with it before but never really planned a whole piece with it in mind. Not bad, but there is definitely room for improvement. I plan on coloring it digitally with powdered charcoal textures.

Miracle Sketchbook 1

Cool assignment in my concepts 2 class. Everyone gets a sketchbook with a sentence we have to illustrate and then next week we all switched sketchbooks with a new sentence. I got " So, might I invite you to a thousand and one flights on a thousand and one nights."

Hipster Illustration Sketches

My first assignment for Concepts 2 is to illustrate for the Hipster Handbook. I got the chapter on dating.
